NFL
NFC style now....how about we start with "Americas Team" The Cowgirls. I can sum this up easy...actually in three words...Romo,Phillips....CHOKE!!!! HAHAHAHAHA just like every other year baby. Hmmm so that brings me to the Filthadelphia Eagles again this one is easy. Even though they may make it to the NFC Championship Game i can sum this up in three words...McNabb, Championship.....CHOKE!!!! The other Birds the Steelers like to have for lunch or should i say the Steelers/West..The Cardnials WDVE summed this up last year with a song called the Cardnials are Cunts. Kurt Warner and the Ken the Cunt Whisenhunt..just simply SUCK! Also with Boldin being a big baby they have no shot. How about Green Bay, well Aaron Rodgers may be having a good season but he is simply no Brett Favre. Woodson has been playing amazing and will help them beat Arizona but only until they run into the Old Man again in Minnesota. Which brings me to the Final two...Minnesota and New Orleans........Minnesota i can sum up in one word FAVRE and as for New Orleans they have all but lost it in the final few weeks of the season which will translate into an exit in their first game on the postseason. So if you haven't guessed it I'm saying that the Old Man in Minnesota Brett Favre will win the Superbowl.

Really?
Onto college football, I am so happy that Tim Tebow and the Gators got their asses kicked by Bama. Now all the Tim Tebow hype will continue until he gets drafted and is a Ryan Leaf type bust. Jesus Jesus Jesus...Yeah Jesus, keep praising him Tim your going to need all of his help to be anything in the NFL. Notre Dame is going to hire Brian Kelly as their coach. I say good move...I've heard all kinds of things about this guy, good and bad, but look at what he did with Cincy..he made them a power house. Now this process is going to take time at ND because Weis left him with junk. With them losing both Tate and Clausen, it's going to be tough. The one area the still worries me about ND is the defense, they really need to improve on that side of the ball if they truly want to compete with Pitt, Navy, USC, Michigan and the rest on their schedule.
The Heisman Trophy goes to.......Mark Ingram...Wait what? I'm going to say that again. Mark Ingram? The same Mark Ingram that was benched in the 4Th quarter of a huge game against Auburn? Yeah, that same guy. My thoughts are Toby Gerhart got robbed. Gerhart in my opinion with out a doubt is the better back of the two. His only fault is playing at Stanford instead of USC or Florida.
I already am making a prediction for next years top 5 going into Championship Week.
1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. Pitt
4. TCU
5. Texas
.........and Notre Dame goes 2-10
Now everyone has an opinion on Tiger Woods and the "multiple transgressions" he had. My opinion is...this guy may be a great golfer but he is a douche bag. A steaming pile of monkey crap! I honestly hope he never golfs again, i hate golf anyway. I know that affairs now a days are not looked at like they were in years past, but come on. This guy has two kids now that will have to grow up in a broken home because he couldn't keep his dick in his pants. The kids are the ones who suffer when it should be Woods himself that suffers. I heard on multiple radio shows that "us regular people" don't know what its like to have the temptation of hundreds of beautiful women throwing themselves at us. Well, maybe not but i know that as a "regular" guy as they call me that cheating is wrong, wrong in so many aspects of life. Saying that we don't know what its like to have women thrown at us is an excuse. An excuse to try and make it sound like its OK, to make it sound like what he did wasn't wrong and he just couldn't help himself. I say bullshit. I think that just because all of you athletes make money and are famous doesn't mean that it makes affairs OK. Stop sticking up for the guy. He is a loser. If this were a "regular" guy he would be drug through the mud so bad and deservedly so. Now Tiger your kids can look up to you and say "thanks dad, for a life with split homes and the stress of not have a normal household like all the other kids....keep your dick in your pants next time asshole." I hope his kids hold this against him forever.

Back with a Vengeance
You know sometimes to be happy you have to look in the place where we all forget to look, and that's at ourselves. We let ourselves down all the time and its a shame. Its like when someone asks you who your best friend is, most of us would reply to that question with names like John, Jack, Paula, Tina or whatever, but actually the answer to the question is commonly overlooked. The answer is you. You are your one and only true best friend. The reason i bring this all up is because a buddy of mine, even though he has pretended to be happy and put on a face you could always tell stuff bothered him and he wasn't happy. There was this "one" thing that he wanted more than anything, and if he couldn't obtain this "one" thing he could never be happy. But what he didn't realize was that even if he were to obtain this "one" thing he still wouldn't be happy. He would have to make himself happy first, before he could ever make anyone else happy. Now again for the 700Th time...OK OK maybe and exaggeration on the number of times, but it sure as hell seems like that many times...maybe and hopefully for the last time this "one" thing walked away. Which in all reality was the best option for him at this point he just failed to see that. Maybe now he can see that he has to make himself happy before he tries to go and make others happy.
So the title of this is Back with a Vengeance, well that's because that's the way i see this. I see this as the return, the return of the Nasty so to speak.
To start, I'm going to make a few quick headline points and then explain them and analyze them.
- College Football and Tim Tebow
College football this year has really been nothing but boring, so few upsets that really matter. The top teams don't lose and teams like TCU and Boise State are going to be left out of any true National Championship talks mainly because they play in non automatic BCS bid conferences. I think this is a travesty, i mean yeah i know financially this would be bad for college football to have teams like a TCU or Boise State play for a National Championship, but really they seem to deserve the talks and in all honesty id love to see either team play over a Texas or Florida. Again this year we have talks about Charlie Weis being fired, well i say its about time they fire him. He has had a few years to show something and had produced shit, absolute shit. He was just another product of the Bill Belichick, all of his coaches that have gone off and become head coaches some where have all sucked...fire his ass and get it over with. Onto Tim "Jesus Loves Me" Tebow...what a joke...all you ever hear is what a great guy and quarterback he is well let me remind you all that this is still college football he is playing, and that guys like Alex Smith, Ryan Leaf, Andre Ware, amongst a whole slew of others were great college players and ended up being busts in the NFL where it counts. So jump off the Time Tebow band waggon lose the man crush and realize that he will blow terribly in the NFL.
- The NFL
The NFL is kind of like college football to me boring anymore. All you ever hear about is Brady and Manning..enough is enough, yes Manning is a no doubt Hall of Famer..maybe the best quarterback ever, but Brady? Well Brady may be good but i guess anyone can be if they cheat. Joey Porter says it and everyone knows it but the sports writers and ESPN ignore the fact that the Patriots and Brady are cheaters...i mean they dropped the ball on that shit, we still here about steroids in baseball and how Barry Bonds took them and how he cheated and how he shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame, or we hear how Pete Rose bet on baseball. The NFL should quit promoting a cheater and promote someone who is a great guy and football player like ummm lets say Adrian Peterson or Charles Woodson.
- The Pittsburgh Pirates
Ah almost time for the smell of fresh cut grass and the sound of a ball hitting a hard wooden bat, it'll be spring training before you know it and I'm excited. Even though my Pirates suck every year, i still root like a faithful fan...other than that i don't have a whole lot to say about them because its been quiet on the home front.
- The Pittsburgh Penguins
The 'Guins...what cant i say about this team, this team is awesome! Anyone who wants to argue that point then bring it baby, this team has lost 8 of their top 13 players for a period of time this year and still are among the best teams in the league. Ovie and the Caps ain't got shit on this team! Lets Go 'Guins!!!!
- Shaq
This guy is amazing, and what a great person all around. After hearing about this sad and terrible story of the 5year old that was brutally raped and murdered he decided he was going to pay for her funeral. Not many celebrities would do that. Shaq you are a great guy and we all love ya.
- Wrestling (TNA-WWE)
The WWE has become a PG joke, all the guest hosts and the non cursing and no blood...no blood? Why on God's green earth would you eliminate blood? Vince your a moron and i hope TNA now with Hulk Hogan becomes the new WCW and gives you a run for your money. TNA has so much talent, they just need a good TV deal and live shows.
Another new blog down and like i said....Back with a Vengeance!!!

UFC 101 Preview
UFC 101
The fight card is not as star studded as UFC 100 with the big names missing.
I'm going to give you the rundown on the 5 important fights of the night.
Im going to skip the undercard for the night seeing as no one really cares about those fights.
The rundown will consist of the fighters, Vegas's pick and my thoughts and picks.
- Josh Neer vs Kurt Pellegrino
Neer is 24-7-1/Pellegrino is 13-3-0
Vegas has Neer winning this match pretty easy.
My thoughts on this fight are while vegas has Neer as th heavy favorite, i say the fight is beteen two totally different types of fighters. Neer is more of a brawler who is more apt to knock you out than beating you any other way. While on the other hand Pellegrino is a submission machine. So i say if Pellegrino is able to get Neer on the ground and stay away from the big shots Neer will throw Pellegrino has a great shot at winning. My pick Pellegrino by submission.
Middleweight (185lbs)
- Kendall Grove vs Ricardo Almeida
Grove is 10-5-0/Almeida is 10-3-0
Vegas has Almeida winning by a slim margin
My thoughts are Grove trains with B.J. Penn one of the greatest fighters today, but he like to go for submissions. It leaves him open to big strikes, and thats exactly whats going to happen when he gets into the octagon with Almeida who is well versed in mutiple types of fighting styles. Big strikes by Almeida. My pick is Almeida though this fight i believe will go the distance. Almeida by decision
Welterweight (170lbs)
- Amir Sadollah vs Johny Hendricks
Sadollah is 1-0-0/Hendricks is 5-0-0
Vegas has Sadollah winning, but not by much.
My thoughts, Sadollah may have won Ultimate Fighter 7 and been trained by Randy Couture, but he has only had one professional match. He seems to be an extremely tough competitor but i give the edge to Hendricks who has a brackground as an amature wrestler at Oklahoma State University. Hendricks will get Sadollah on the ground and pound and pound on him until the ref calls the match. Hendricks wins by TKO (strikes).
Now your first Main Event
Light Heavyweight (205)
- Anderson Silva vs Forrest Griffin
Silva is 22-4-0/Griffin is 16-5-0
Vegas has Silva tearing Griffin apart.
My thoughts are close to the same. Let me explain. Silva may be fighting out of his weight class here but he is the best pound for pound fighter in the world. Silva is the Middleweight Champion, he trains with Lyoto Machida the Light Heavyweight Champion. Griffin is a great fighter and more of a submission buy then a straight out fighter. What thatmeans is Griffin is going to try to take Silva down, Silva is way too fast and strong for Griffin. Silva will work his feet and powerful fists. He will catch Griffin with the feet to daze him and then strike with the fists for the win. Silva wins by KO.
The second Main Event
For the UFC Lightweight Championship
- B.J. Penn (Champion) vs Kenny Florian (Challenger)
Penn is 13-5-1/Florian is 11-3-0
Vegas has Penn winning, and winning big.
My thoughts, Penn is a gret all around fighter who can beat you on the ground or trading punches. Florian is fast and will try to mount Penn and apply the rear naked choke. If Florian is able to apply the choke hold its all over Penn will have no chance. Penn is powerful. My pick is Penn is the 3rd round by TKO (strikes). Florian will go for the choke and Penn will see it coming and be able to counter with some ground and pound. Again Penn by TKO (strikes).
Those are my thoughts on UFC 101, wish it was a beter card but that will have to wait. Cant wait to see Brock Lesnar in action again. Need to get more big names on the cards Dana.
Bastard People!
Moving on, i need to state that i was wrong when i jumped the gun and slamming the Pirate organization with all these trades. Let me go back and correct my statements. I think these trades were actually good moves. We ended up trading 5 players that we all know, Freddy, Jack, Snell, Gorzo, Grabow. At further glance and more in depth looks at the players that we received back...i am happy. Look at it like this, all of the other trades that other teams made were about helping the teams this year. What about next year? Or the year after? Nothing. The Pirates have built a team from low class A West Virginia to AAA Indy. Not to mention the talent that we actually have on the big league squad now. We as Pirate fans get upset with the trades the team has made but it's because we are used to players and we have come to like them. Yes it's been 17 years since we have had a winner. Yes every year we trade away talent. This year i do believe it's different, i see it as they finally blew the whole team apart instead of just trading a piece here and a piece there. No trade this year was made due to money like quite a few have been made in the past. So lets go Bucs!
Other trades made that i hate. The Red Sox trading to get Victor Martinez. Dumb dumb fucking dumb!!!!!!!! Victor is a player who is way too streaky for a team like the Red Sox who have struggled at the plate as of late. He is up and down way too much. Then they trade Adam Laroche to the Braves for Kotchman. Also dumb, they traded bum for bum. These trades make the Red Sox have no chance of winning the division, and possibly not even win the wild-card. They gave up too much for Martinez and in all honesty they deserve to blow this season. With them cheating to win the World Series in '04...good job Big Steroid. Um now the White Sox...trading for a guy who is on the DL. Yes Jake Peavey is a great pitcher, but who says when he comes back he will be anywhere near where he was before. I don't understand the trade. The only actual good trades were the Cliff Lee to Philly and Washburn to Detroit. The winner and loser of the trade deadline. The winner, which a lot of people are going to say I'm biased but fuck you its my blog and actually if you want to debate it lets do it. The winner is the Pirates, they have tons of talent for the future. The losers have to be the Red Sox, they made pointless and utterly retarded trades.
Another topic i want to cover is life. I believe I'm about to make the biggest life decision of my life. I've weighed the pros and cons and i know that there is no way I'll ever stumble upon an opportunity like this again. This life situation is going to remain a secret at this point. My reason for bringing this up is because i know that a lot of us are at points in their lives where they need to make a choice. I'm here to tell you that even though sometimes you feel it'll be impossible to leave things behind or leave people behind, you have to do it sometimes. Most people turn down great opportunities because they are afraid of the unknown. Grow up people, if your a guy...grow a set of balls. If your a female well i don't have an analogy for you, just grow up. Live life as though everyday is your last, if that means leaving something behind then do it because it could turn out to be the greatest decision ever!!

The Nasty on the Pirates
Lets review the "Old" managements typical Bucco moves. First lets go with the draft, name me one #1 draft pick from 1997 to 2002 whom is still on the team today. None! Now onto the free agents and trades that were made in the Bonifay and Littlefield era's. Two big free agent signings that were absolute disasters 2000 Derek Bell "Operation Shutdown" that's all i have to say about him. 2004 Raul Mondesi, for all intents and purposes this dude basically quit on the Pirates on May 11 stating personal reasons in his homeland of the Dominican Republic. His contract was terminated roughly a week after he quit. 10 days later he signs with the Angels. Now this guy wasn't stupid he knew he didn't want to play for this joke of a team. Pat Mears....not even going there. Benito Santiago, the Pirates were only 20 years too late on this guy. OK I'm missing a bunch of free agent fuck ups but i would be here for days with that shit. Onto trades 2003 the Pirates trade away their 3B of the future and a good veteran Kenny Lofton to the Cubs for wait for it...Jose Hernandez who damn near stuck out every damn at bat. Bobby Hill, and Matt Bruback...a bunch of bums...great deal for the Cubs! 2001 We trade a Cy young runner up Jason Schmidt along with John Vanderwall whom was a great pinch hitter for Ryan Voggelsong and Armando Rios another waiving the "White Flag" move. How about the Anna Benson trade to the Mets for Ty Wigginton and Jose Bautista.....Yeah Kris was constantly hurt but originally in the deal the Pirates wanted superstar David Wright, but we ended up with 2 idiots. Not such a big deal but in 1998 the Pirates traded Jon Lieber to the Cubs for Brant Brown...shouldn't we learn something from all the bad trades from the Cubs. What about two of our own guys that we resigned, Kevin Young and Jason Kendall. Young in 1999 got a 6 year 24 million dollar extension. Young only made it 3 and a half seasons. Kendall on the other hand was loved by the fans and was supposedly a team leader...but he would welcome new Buccos that came via trade or signing with a "Welcome to Hell"......what a great team leader....how do we repay this singles hitter....a 60 million dollar contract.....what a waste.
"New Management" claims they are doing things different from the former administration. So lets take a look. Last year we trade The X-man Xavier Nady to the Yankees with Domaso Marte for well nobody worth typing about, maybe in a few years Tabata will be but right now no. Nady was a good player and practically begged to stay, and Marte was a really good reliever. Jason Bay gets traded for a bunch of guys but namely Andy Laroche and Brandon Moss. Moss is terrible and Laroche, well the jury is still out on him. This year we trade a "core" player in Nate Mclouth to the Braves for 2 minor league players and Charlie Morton. Morton might turn out to be OK, but we gave Nate Mclouth away. Then we trade Nyjer Morgan and Sean Burnett to the Nationals for Lastings Milledge and Joel Hanrahan. This trade doesn't look bad, but Nyjer was loved in the Burgh. We then trade a great defensive shortstop Jack Wilson and get no one even close to his talent defensively another worthless move. Wow, just as I'm typing i find out the Pirates have also traded Freddy Sanchez for what I'm being told will be AA pitching prospect Tim Alderson. So defensively we have no one with any talent playing the middle infield. That's just wonderful.
Moral of the last two paragraphs is...."New" management is doing the same old shit "Old" management did.......trading away "core" players for nothing and still losing. We are coming up on our 17Th straight losing season. Maybe the Nutting's should go next door and talk to the Rooney's and find out how to actually build a winning franchise. Maybe they should go talk to Lemieux and ask him what kind of cash he rolls in for playoff games. The Pirates are supposed to be a storied franchise, and they are storied alright....storied losers. I'm going to leave today with some random Pirate facts. Since 1979 the Pirates have only had 7 winning seasons...that's right i said 7. That means 23 seasons finishing below .500. It's a disgrace. We are known for Randall Simon whacking the wiener in Milwaukee. Our most threatening base stealer was former manager Llyod McLendon.....remember...he was arguing a call and ripped the base out of the ground and took it with him. Dock Ellis threw his no hitter on LSD...yes LSD the drug. They signed Matt Lawton who was a steroid user, but to keep it fair they signed one who's performance wasn't enhanced. The Mendoza line...which means you suck at the plate...refers to former Pirate Mario Mendoza. We have the Legend of John Wehner. Sadly the loss of Roberto Clemente way before his time. A guy like Pops Willie Stargell falling 25 home runs shorts of 500 for his career when steroid users like Rafael Palmeiro have 569. Its sad to say the Pirates are a joke to Baseball...they are nothing more the a AAAA ball club that prepares players for bigger and better clubs. In closing i state the motto of the Pirates......Pittsburgh Pirates.....Where careers come to die!
